Return / Right of Withdrawal

1. Most of the products manufactured and/or delivered by Area8 are made to order and not pre-fabricated. For this reason, these are excluded from the right of withdrawal. This specifically applies to products that are produced based on the individual choices and specifications of the customer.

2. The consumer can exercise their right of withdrawal, for products in stock and/or for products where no individual choices have been made, by notifying us via email: info@area8.nl.

3. For products to which the right of withdrawal applies and the consumer requests Area8 to collect the product, the costs for this are borne by the consumer. These costs amount to €150.00 including VAT for addresses within the Netherlands & Belgium. For countries outside the Netherlands & Belgium, the costs will be higher and depend on the delivery charges at that time. The product must be ready at the agreed time behind the first threshold and be properly packaged. If this is not the case, the product will not be taken back.

4. Our packaging is of high quality and specially made to measure for each order. If you no longer have the packaging or if it is no longer in its original condition, we will have to make new packaging. The costs for this amount to €70 per package.

Warranty

1. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Area8 guarantees the quality of the delivered products for a period of 60 months after delivery.

2. The warranty with regard to products applies exclusively to defects caused by faulty manufacturing, construction, or material.

3. For wood, the natural property of wood to move is excluded from the warranty. This is not considered a defect in the production process but an inherent property of the material. The term "movement of wood" refers to the process of expansion, shrinkage, cracking, and/or warping. The wood used by Area8 is carefully sawn and dried, with a moisture content between approximately 8% and 12%. This ensures that the product is suitable for use in a heated environment.

4. For natural stone, natural properties such as color variations, veins, fossil inclusions, crystals, pits, open veins, or natural cracks are inherent to the material and do not constitute grounds for a warranty claim. These characteristics are not considered a defect in the production process but are part of the authentic character of natural stone.

5. The customer is responsible for informing themselves in advance about the properties of natural materials such as wood and natural stone. Information about this is available on the Area8 website or can be requested directly from Area8. The fact that a customer has not informed themselves does not release them from this responsibility.

6. The warranty does not apply in the case of normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from accidents, modifications made to the product, negligence, or improper use by the customer, nor when the cause of the defect cannot be clearly established.

7. The risk of loss, damage, or theft of the products that are the subject of an agreement between the parties transfers to the customer at the moment these are legally and/or actually delivered, or are received by a third party on behalf of the customer.

8. In the case of custom-made products, small variations in dimensions are possible. Unless otherwise agreed, Area8 reserves the right to deviate by up to a maximum of 3% from the agreed dimensions.
